NARS WANTED MINI EYESHADOW PALETTE
The NARS WANTED full size eyeshadow palette was a popular hit. As, I had missed out on getting my hands on - I am glad that NARS had brought out a miniature sized edition. This palette caught my eye due to its mini size which fits into the size of my palm. I love cute, mini size products, which is one of the reasons that drew me to this, along with the chosen beautiful "rosy pink", "berry", "golden" & "chocolatey brown" shades.
THE COLOURS
This palette contains 6 pretty shades with a mix of shimmer, satin & matte finishes;
- Satisfaction - golden pink shade, satin finish
- Delirium - metallic rose gold shade, shimmer finish
- Mendoza - coppery pink shade, shimmer finish
- Shooting Star - champagne shade, shimmer finish
- Shadow Hill - chocolate brown shade, matte finish
- Wicked Game - cranberry shade, shimmer finish (obsessed with this shade!)
The shades in this palette are all colours that I would use. I have a love for warm, rosy, berry brown colours, which I have discovered has become my signature choice eye look. I was in the market for some rosy, berry shades with a metallic, shimmering finish, which this palette contains mostly shimmery colours. There is only 1 satin shade & 1 matte shade. If you dislike eyeshadows with a shimmery finish, then this palette is not for you.
The shadows with the shimmery particles are soft & velvety. All the shadows are buttery soft & blend well.
I normally dislike shimmery eyeshadows, as I find them to be too glittery. I wanted to add some shimmery eyeshadows to my collection, but with the right ratio of shimmer. NARS has done well, as the shimmers are fine & I feel they brighten up the eyes without looking "overly done up". I definitely agree that it allows you to create daytime chic looks, carrying you from day to night looks easily.
The palette is very small & it only 6 x 0.7g of eyeshadow for GBP26, which makes it expensive for the amount of product you get. However, I do like NARS eyeshadows, they are long lasting, with a large variety of different shades & finishes. The mini size of this palette makes it travel friendly & I find this handy as I like to pack as light as possible. I can see myself using this palette most days therefore I do think it is worth my pennies spent.
I purchased the NARS WANTED mini eyeshadow palette from CultBeauty when they had a 15% off promotion, which I think makes it a great way to try out a product, whilst I had been eyeing this up for a little while. I am glad I purchased this, as I love every single shade. If NARS brings back the full sized WANTED palette, I would definitely purchase it.
