K-DRAMA TO LOOK OUT FOR

I have my eyes on this one & plan to watch this next as I finish watching K-Drama START UP. Shin Hye Sun plays Queen Cheorin, one of the main character & I am interested to see her acting skills excel in this role as she has to act like a male in a female body during the Joseon historical time period.

Firstly, what captured my attention & my desire to watch this is of course because Shin Hye Sun is in this drama & she is one of my favourite actresses to watch, after seeing her in a few drama's The Legend of the Blue Sea, My Golden Life, Thirty but Seventeen, The Hymn of Death & The Angel's Last Mission: Love.

Across these drama's she has played a range of serious roles to cute, romantic & comedic roles. I recall she plays comedy well in Thirty but Seventeen, so she will be fabulously funny in Mr Queen! Also I was in awe how she played a professional ballerina, with all the dance moves she did, seen in The Angel's Last Mission: Love. I think she is a very talented & beautiful actress.

Secondly, wanting to watch for the comedy & thirdly for the insanely, beautiful historical costumes.

COULD IT BE A HIT?

This drama has an intriguing storyline, although it uses a well used concept in drama's where one's spirit goes back in time & gets trapped there, reminds me of a popular K-Drama: Moon Lovers Scarlet Heart Ryeo & a few classic Chinese drama's. However, there is a difference to Mr Queen's version, where a man has to live as a woman & it will also showcase gender stereotypes. I have a gut feeling this will have many Laugh Out Loud moments & has the potential to be a popular hit.
